All our rakeback sites are automatic, and handled directly by the poker site.

Poker rooms, both online and offline, make their revenues from taking a small
percentage of the money wagered in each pot. So players that contribute to any given
pot are contributing to the poker room's revenues. This percentage that the house
takes is called the "rake". Typically, online poker rooms collect a 5% rake, and
brick and mortar casinos collect a 10% rake. Obviously, online poker provides the
serious poker player a better deal.
However, if every player was equally skilled, everyone would be a losing player because of the rake
to the house. And for the perfectly skilled poker player, rake becomes the only
glaring leak in his/her game.
So, rakeback programs started to get introduced on the internet for certain online poker rooms.
The serious online poker player understands that he/she is paying this 5% rake to
the online poker room. The serious poker player plays a lot of hours and thousands
of hands. This rake amount can quickly add up.
Rakeback programs were developed for this serious poker player who wants, or demands,
a portion of his rake back for being such a good customer. This is what
a rakeback program is all about.
Now, one of the problems of rakeback programs on the internet is that the rakeback is
normally managed by a 3rd party. So, a player signs up to an online poker room through
a 3rd party, that 3rd party monitors the rake the player is generating, and then
pays the player a portion of their rake back. There are several problems with this
model. What if the 3rd party goes under? Or just disappears? Or refuses to pay you your fair share?
The player risks forever not receiving his/her
rakeback payment for a particular online poker room. Websites appear and disappear all the time, with no
recourse for the rakeback player.
The other problem with working a rakeback program through a 3rd party is that the 3rd party could be
violating the terms of the online poker room. Many poker rooms DO NOT ALLOW RAKEBACK DEALS! Player accounts
have been closed, 3rd parties have been shut down, and entire poker room "skins" have been closed for
allowing rakeback deals to occur. For example, Party Poker's Terms specifically states:
You shall not and shall not authorise, assist or encourage
any third party to...Offer any so-called “rake-back” schemes or
similar which offers or allows a proportion of the player’s rake to
be returned to the player in any form;
PokerNow, once a skin of Party Poker, has actually
lost its license to use Party Poker's software and network, and Party Poker took control
and ownership of the skin due to PokerNow's participation with rakeback programs. And, of course,
all the players lost their rakeback deals.
So, now that you understand rake, rakeback, and the current issues with rake back programs,
you hopefully can appreciate the automatic rakeback programs that we, here at FTR, have put
together for you.
If FTR comes crashing down next week, we still
wanted you to get your rake back, every month, without any reliance on us.
All the rakeback programs listed here at FTR are unique in one way. We do not act as a 3rd
party, we do not pay you a portion of your rake back.
We've worked directly with the online poker rooms to setup a comprehensive
rakeback program for our players.
The beauty of this partnership is that our players get
the rake back rebates directly from the online poker room, deposited into their player accounts every month, automatically. There is no need to rely on
FlopTurnRiver.com as a third party to make calculations and payments.
To join, all you have to do is click through our links and register a new account. The rakeback program is automatically
built into our links. That's it.
Some very popular poker sites do not allow rakeback deals, but offer bonuses or frequent player points that, in effect, provide the same results as standard rakeback deals. Check out our specific details on PokerStars Rakeback and Everest Poker Rakeback here!
